Restaurant review — Charquekan that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Charquekan well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The hearty and filling base was authentic and the use of chuño freeze-dried potato showed real knowledge.

salteñas are distinct from Argentinian empanadas with a juicy broth filling. The atmosphere was genuinely an indigenous community festival feast, which the food matched. chicha de maíz came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
