I made Pão de Queijo for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The sweet from tropical fruits profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced manioc flour farinha used that way before.

feijoada black bean stew is a national dish with African and Portuguese roots. I explained the a Bahian seafood restaurant context as I served it which helped people appreciate it fully. guaraná Antarctica was what I offered alongside and it worked perfectly. Excellent dinner party dish — impressive without being inaccessible.
