Restaurant review — Bangers and Mash that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Bangers and Mash well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The rich and savoury base was authentic and the use of proper beef suet showed real knowledge.

pub food culture has undergone a renaissance in the gastropub era. The atmosphere was genuinely a traditional seaside chippy, which the food matched. real ale came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
