Decent Cornish Pasty — nothing more, nothing less
Cornish Pasty at this place was fine. The comforting and hearty flavour was there but not distinguished. HP sauce was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
British cuisine was shaped by the Empire, introducing curries and international ingredients into the national diet. The a full English café breakfast setting was generic rather than immersive. a glass of claret with Sunday roast was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Cornish Pasty it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
