Restaurant review — Butter Tart that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Butter Tart well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The sweet and savoury from maple base was authentic and the use of Quebec cheese curds showed real knowledge.

poutine emerged from Quebec rural diners in the 1950s and became Canada's most internationally recognised dish. The atmosphere was genuinely a Montreal poutinerie, which the food matched. Nanaimo bar dessert came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
