Restaurant review — Nanaimo Bar that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Nanaimo Bar well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The sweet and savoury from maple base was authentic and the use of Arctic char showed real knowledge.
poutine emerged from Quebec rural diners in the 1950s and became Canada's most internationally recognised dish. The atmosphere was genuinely an east coast seafood shack, which the food matched. maple latte came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
