Underwhelming Poutine — expected more

I was looking forward to Poutine here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The sweet and savoury from maple character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with Quebec cheese curds or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

maple syrup production is a seasonal Quebec ritual celebrated at family sugar shacks. The an east coast seafood shack setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. Nanaimo bar dessert was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
