Honest verdict on Sancocho — good but not exceptional

Sancocho here was solidly made — richly textured without anything to complain about. chicharrón pork rinds was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

the bandeja paisa plate is a point of Antioquian cultural pride. The a Bogotá corrientazo lunch counter atmosphere was pleasant enough. agua panela sugarcane drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Sancocho this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
