First time trying Palačinky — completely converted
I had never tried Palačinky before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The subtly tangy from pickles taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. pickled vegetables is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.
The a traditional Czech hospoda setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. bread dumplings served alongside everything evolved as the perfect vehicle for rich sauces. My server recommended Moravian wine alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Palačinky. Outstanding first encounter.
