Honest verdict on Svíčková na Smetaně — good but not exceptional

Svíčková na Smetaně here was solidly made — subtly tangy from pickles without anything to complain about. bread dumplings was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

For a reliable version of Svíčková na Smetaně this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
