You can taste history in Svíčková if you know what to look for. bread dumplings served alongside everything evolved as the perfect vehicle for rich sauces. The malty from beer braises character reflects those layers — pork knuckle doesn't appear by accident; it came from a specific tradition.

The a Prague pub restaurant setting made sense of it. You understand the food differently when the context is right. Czech Pilsner Urquell alongside is part of that story. Some food is just fuel. Svíčková, properly made, is something more. This version told the story well.
