Honest verdict on Svíčková — good but not exceptional

Svíčková here was solidly made — hearty and deeply savoury without anything to complain about. caraway was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

bread dumplings served alongside everything evolved as the perfect vehicle for rich sauces. The a Prague pub restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. svíčková cream sauce was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Svíčková this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
