Decent Æbleskiver — nothing more, nothing less

Æbleskiver at this place was fine. The subtly sweet with berries flavour was there but not distinguished. pickled herring was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

the julefrokost Christmas lunch is a major social event with traditional dishes strictly observed. The a traditional Sunday brunch setting was generic rather than immersive. Danish lager was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Æbleskiver it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
