Honest verdict on Frikadeller — good but not exceptional
Frikadeller here was solidly made — buttery and rich without anything to complain about. rye bread rugbrød was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
Danish New Nordic cuisine movement redefined fine dining globally in the 2000s. The a traditional Sunday brunch atmosphere was pleasant enough. cold buttermilk was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Frikadeller this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
