Honest verdict on Ful Medames — good but not exceptional

Ful Medames here was solidly made — deeply savoury and spiced without anything to complain about. fenugreek seeds was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

koshari is considered the national dish representing the multicultural influence on Egyptian cooking. The a traditional Egyptian koshari shop atmosphere was pleasant enough. Egyptian Stella beer was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Ful Medames this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
