First time trying Ful Medames — completely converted

I had never tried Ful Medames before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The hearty and filling taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. fenugreek seeds is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a traditional Egyptian koshari shop setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. koshari is considered the national dish representing the multicultural influence on Egyptian cooking. My server recommended mint tea alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Ful Medames. Outstanding first encounter.
