I made Molokhia for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The earthy and warming profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced molokhia leaves used that way before.

koshari is considered the national dish representing the multicultural influence on Egyptian cooking. I explained the a traditional Egyptian koshari shop context as I served it which helped people appreciate it fully. mint tea was what I offered alongside and it worked perfectly. Excellent dinner party dish — impressive without being inaccessible.
