Restaurant review — Ayib that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Ayib well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The tangy from fermented injera base was authentic and the use of fenugreek showed real knowledge.
Ethiopian communal eating with no utensils from a shared injera is a social and hygienic tradition. The atmosphere was genuinely a traditional coffee ceremony setting, which the food matched. tej honey wine came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
