First time trying Gored Gored — completely converted

I had never tried Gored Gored before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The intensely spiced and complex taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. berbere spice blend is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a traditional coffee ceremony setting setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. the Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a formalised ritual that can take hours. My server recommended tej alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Gored Gored. Outstanding first encounter.
