Underwhelming Gored Gored — expected more

I was looking forward to Gored Gored here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The deep and earthy character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with teff injera or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Ethiopian communal eating with no utensils from a shared injera is a social and hygienic tradition. The an Addis Ababa restaurant setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. Ethiopian coffee ceremony was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
