Decent Crème Brûlée — nothing more, nothing less

Crème Brûlée at this place was fine. The rich and refined flavour was there but not distinguished. thyme was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

the terroir philosophy links food to its region of origin. The a formal dinner party setting was generic rather than immersive. a digestif of Calvados was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Crème Brûlée it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
