Honest verdict on French Onion Soup — good but not exceptional

French Onion Soup here was solidly made — deeply layered without anything to complain about. shallots was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

the terroir philosophy links food to its region of origin. The a brasserie lunch atmosphere was pleasant enough. Burgundy red wine was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of French Onion Soup this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
