Honest verdict on Pkhali — good but not exceptional

Pkhali here was solidly made — complex and distinctive without anything to complain about. tkemali plum sauce was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Georgia claims one of the world's oldest continuous wine-making traditions dating back 8000 years. The a traditional Georgian supra feast atmosphere was pleasant enough. Georgian amber wine was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Pkhali this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
