I spent three months trying every version of Bratwurst I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled caraway seeds with genuine knowledge and the robust and filling result was noticeably superior.
German bread culture is extraordinarily diverse with over 300 officially registered varieties. The winning restaurant had the right a winter Christmas market feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. weissbier was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Bratwurst is made properly it's a completely different experience.
