First time trying Schnitzel — completely converted
I had never tried Schnitzel before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The tangy from fermentation taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. smoked pork is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.
The a Sunday family roast lunch setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. German bread culture is extraordinarily diverse with over 300 officially registered varieties. My server recommended weissbier alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Schnitzel. Outstanding first encounter.
