Honest verdict on Chicken Paprikash — good but not exceptional

Chicken Paprikash here was solidly made — hearty and warming without anything to complain about. sweet paprika was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

paprika only entered Hungarian cooking in the 17th century but now defines the cuisine. The a lakeside restaurant on the Balaton atmosphere was pleasant enough. soda water spritzer was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Chicken Paprikash this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
