Halászlé exceeded every expectation

I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Halászlé made with real commitment to lard and technique. The deeply flavourful result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Hungarian cuisine was shaped by nomadic Magyar traditions mixed with Ottoman and Habsburg influences.
