Restaurant review — Kürtőskalács that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Kürtőskalács well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The hearty and warming base was authentic and the use of onion showed real knowledge.

paprika only entered Hungarian cooking in the 17th century but now defines the cuisine. The atmosphere was genuinely a Budapest csárda tavern, which the food matched. soda water spritzer came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
