Honest verdict on Langos — good but not exceptional

Langos here was solidly made — richly paprika-spiced without anything to complain about. onion was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

paprika only entered Hungarian cooking in the 17th century but now defines the cuisine. The a family Sunday lunch atmosphere was pleasant enough. Tokaji wine was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Langos this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
