Finding the best Butter Chicken in the city — a personal search

I spent three months trying every version of Butter Chicken I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled whole spices with genuine knowledge and the warmly spiced and aromatic result was noticeably superior.

Indian cuisine varies enormously by state, religion, and climate. The winning restaurant had the right a north Indian restaurant abroad feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. chai tea was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Butter Chicken is made properly it's a completely different experience.
