Honest verdict on Dal Makhani — good but not exceptional

Dal Makhani here was solidly made — deeply layered without anything to complain about. yogurt marinade was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Indian cuisine varies enormously by state, religion, and climate. The a north Indian restaurant abroad atmosphere was pleasant enough. nimbu pani lemon water was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Dal Makhani this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
