Decent Gado-Gado — nothing more, nothing less
Gado-Gado at this place was fine. The rich and coconut-forward flavour was there but not distinguished. terasi shrimp paste was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
Indonesian cuisine spans over 17,000 islands with dramatically different regional traditions. The a Jakarta street food cart setting was generic rather than immersive. jamu herbal drink was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Gado-Gado it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
