Best Nasi Goreng I've had — and I've tried a few

Having eaten Nasi Goreng at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The rich and coconut-forward quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. tempeh is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.

This is proper a Jakarta street food cart cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. jamu herbal drink was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. Indonesian cuisine spans over 17,000 islands with dramatically different regional traditions. Would return for this dish alone.
