Honest verdict on Khoresh Bademjan — good but not exceptional

Khoresh Bademjan here was solidly made — subtly bitter and complex without anything to complain about. barberries was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

the sofreh spread on the floor is the traditional Iranian dining setting. The a communal sofreh tablecloth feast atmosphere was pleasant enough. rose water sharbat was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Khoresh Bademjan this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
