Honest verdict on Burekas — good but not exceptional
Burekas here was solidly made — warmly spiced without anything to complain about. tahini was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
Israeli cuisine is shaped by Jewish diaspora traditions from across the world fused with local Levantine ingredients. The a fusion restaurant mixing Mediterranean traditions atmosphere was pleasant enough. fresh orange juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Burekas this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
