First time trying Hummus — completely converted

I had never tried Hummus before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The sweet and tangy taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. silan date syrup is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Shabbat family dinner setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. Israeli cuisine is shaped by Jewish diaspora traditions from across the world fused with local Levantine ingredients. My server recommended Israeli wine alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Hummus. Outstanding first encounter.
