Honest verdict on Jachnun — good but not exceptional

Jachnun here was solidly made — sweet and tangy without anything to complain about. Medjool dates was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Shabbat and holiday meals follow religious traditions that shape the food served. The a Shabbat family dinner atmosphere was pleasant enough. fresh orange juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Jachnun this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
