Underwhelming Shakshuka — expected more

I was looking forward to Shakshuka here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The bright and fresh with herbs character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with pomegranate seeds or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

Israeli cuisine is shaped by Jewish diaspora traditions from across the world fused with local Levantine ingredients. The a fusion restaurant mixing Mediterranean traditions setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. Israeli wine was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
