Decent Miso Soup — nothing more, nothing less
Miso Soup at this place was fine. The delicate and precise flavour was there but not distinguished. mirin was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
seasonal ingredients guide the menu in traditional settings. The a high-end kaiseki setting setting was generic rather than immersive. green tea was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Miso Soup it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
