Restaurant review — Takoyaki that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Takoyaki well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The deeply savoury base was authentic and the use of dashi stock showed real knowledge.

seasonal ingredients guide the menu in traditional settings. The atmosphere was genuinely a high-end kaiseki setting, which the food matched. barley tea came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
