Restaurant review — Tempura that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Tempura well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The clean and umami-forward base was authentic and the use of sake showed real knowledge.

Japanese cuisine philosophy of shokunin craftsmanship shapes how even simple dishes are prepared. The atmosphere was genuinely an intimate Tokyo counter restaurant, which the food matched. green tea came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
