I made Korean Fried Chicken for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The complex and bold profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced sesame oil used that way before.

the communal banchan side dishes are as important as the main. I explained the a Korean barbecue restaurant with table grills context as I served it which helped people appreciate it fully. barley tea was what I offered alongside and it worked perfectly. Excellent dinner party dish — impressive without being inaccessible.
