Kafta exceeded every expectation

I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Kafta made with real commitment to za'atar and technique. The fresh and citrusy result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Lebanese hospitality is expressed through abundance on the table. The a mezze spread for a large gathering was exactly right for this kind of eating. arak was offered as the natural choice and it elevated everything.
