Decent Manakish — nothing more, nothing less

Manakish at this place was fine. The aromatic with herbs and spice flavour was there but not distinguished. za'atar was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Lebanese hospitality is expressed through abundance on the table. The a Beirut street stall setting was generic rather than immersive. arak was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Manakish it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
