Holiday memory — Nasi Lemak that transported me back
I first ate Nasi Lemak on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the bold and complex quality I remembered. belacan shrimp paste was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
Penang is considered the food capital of Malaysia and rivals Singapore for hawker excellence. It was the a Kuala Lumpur kopitiam memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. Milo was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
