I spent three months trying every version of Nasi Lemak I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled coconut cream with genuine knowledge and the fragrant and aromatic result was noticeably superior.

Penang is considered the food capital of Malaysia and rivals Singapore for hawker excellence. The winning restaurant had the right a Penang hawker stall feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. teh tarik was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Nasi Lemak is made properly it's a completely different experience.
