Street food Mechoui — the authentic version

The best Mechoui I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The sweet and savoury together intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. ras el hanout was used without hesitation, the way it should be.

hospitality rituals including mint tea service are integral to the food experience. The a riad rooftop dinner in Marrakech setting meant eating standing up or on a low stool, which is how this food is supposed to be encountered. orange blossom water drink was sold right next to it. Don't wait to find the 'right' restaurant. Find the street version first.
