I spent three months trying every version of Mechoui I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled harissa with genuine knowledge and the richly perfumed result was noticeably superior.

hospitality rituals including mint tea service are integral to the food experience. The winning restaurant had the right a family couscous Friday feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. Casablanca beer was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Mechoui is made properly it's a completely different experience.
