Honest verdict on Pastilla — good but not exceptional

Pastilla here was solidly made — warmly spiced and aromatic without anything to complain about. ras el hanout was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

hospitality rituals including mint tea service are integral to the food experience. The a desert camp dinner atmosphere was pleasant enough. orange blossom water drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Pastilla this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
