I made Bara for eight guests who had varying familiarity with the cuisine. Every single person asked for the recipe. The hearty and filling profile was the main talking point — no one had quite experienced timur Sichuan pepper used that way before.

dal bhat power for 24 hours is a trekking mantra reflecting how central the dish is to Nepali daily life. I explained the a Kathmandu teahouse context as I served it which helped people appreciate it fully. raksi grain spirit was what I offered alongside and it worked perfectly. Excellent dinner party dish — impressive without being inaccessible.
